Having dinner with Evan and Dad, even though it was virtual, was such a nice surprise. Evan called Dad earlier in the week and set the whole thing up. I missed seeing my guys, but after we finished eating, I had to call Celeste and fill her in on my first week at Solis. That particular conversation had taken up the rest of my evening.

“Okay bitch, spill! What is going on with you and those sexy men?”

“Hi Eves. How’s school? Are you settled in okay? I miss you,” I snarked back at her.

“Don’t sass me! Spill! Now!” I grinned at her obvious excitement over my love life. In the past, it was always her latest conquest at the center of our girl talks. My situation with Griff, Chase, and Knox was definitely new territory for the both of us.

“Things are… good.” My attempt at being coy was not going well.

“EVES!”

“Okay, okay! Jesus, C, calm down!” If I knew my best friend, she was pacing around her bedroom in her fuzzy, hot pink pajama pants, munching on a Twizzler. Putting her out of her misery, I continued.

“I agreed to date all three of them.”

“Hell fucking yes!” she screamed over the phone. I could see her in my mind, fist pumping the air, dancing around. “And?”

“And what?”

“Everly Margaret, you are dating three of the hottest guys I have ever seen in my life—thank you for the pictures by the way.”

“You’re welcome. Not like it’s a hardship to take pictures of them.” A smile crept onto my face, my thoughts drifting to how sexy my guys were….

“Everly, focus. I need to know which one is the best in bed. Penis size to thrusting ratio. Oral skills. Details! Now!” I could hear her snap her fingers over the line.

“Who says I’ve slept with any of them yet?” She was going to blow a gasket at my cheekiness. Silence filled the line. Three, two, on—

“WHAT?!” Aaaand there it was.

“Oh, calm down, C.” I went on to explain exactly how far I had gone with each of the guys, purposefully leaving out the details of my encounter with Austin leading up to sleeping with Knox. Celeste would storm onto the Solis campus and hunt down Austin’s creepy ass if she found out what he had done.

“God damn, Eves. I’m so happy for you, but I am so fucking jealous.”

Grinning like the Cheshire cat, I teased her, “I mean, I could call Evan, if you wan—”

She cut me off before I could finish. “Whatsorrycanthearyougottagobye!” The line went dead, and I let out a loud laugh.

Now, it was Saturday morning, and I was just finishing getting ready for the day. Chase had his first regatta, and I was excited to finally see him in action. Griff and Knox would be with me; the guys made sure I was never alone all week. It was comforting to know they cared so much about my safety. They kept their promise of not telling Evan, too. I didn’t like keeping secrets from him, but I didn’t want to add more to his already full plate.
